Sesame Fish Steaks
3 large fish steaks or fillets
salt
25 g/1 oz polyunsaturated margarine
10(1 g/4 oz soft breadcrumbs
pinch of freshly ground pepper
4 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme, crumbled
1 teaspoon salt
Dry the fish with kitchen paper towels and place in a buttered baking dish. Sprinkle the steaks or fillets with a pinch of salt and dot each with 2 teaspoons of the margarine. Combine the remaining ingredients and sprinkle the breadcrum Is mixture thickly over the steaks.
Bake, uncovered, in a preheated moderate oven (180 °C/350 °F, Gas Mark 4) for 15 to 20 minutes or until the fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Serve with hot bread and green salad.
