Sesame And Oat Biscuits


75 g/3 oz rolled oats
50 g/2 oz medium oatmeal
2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
75 g/3 oz molasses sugar
120 ml/4 fl oz polyunsaturated vegetable oil
1 egg, beaten


Place the oats, oatmeal, sesame seeds, sugar and oil in a mixing bowl. Stir well and leave to stand for 1 hour. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.


Place teaspoons of the mixture well apart on a greased baking sheet and then flatten with a palette knife.


Bake in a preheated moderate oven (160 °C/ 325 °F, Gas Mark 3) for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown. Leave to cool for 2 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
